Brandon Scott


I am completing my third year with TransCanada and am currently the Manager, Cost Control and Benchmarking.  I have dedicated my career thus far to project controls and specialize in the financial management of high value energy projects. My current role involves the creation and review of complex project business cases and data sets to inform executive decision making. I work in broad, multi-disciplined teams of subject matter experts from Commercial, Accounting, Tax, and Supply Chain to analyze work processes and procedures to ensure he greatest financial result possible for TransCanada's $24B portfolio of growth projects.
 
I regularly interface with all levels of internal management and project stakeholders to present ideas, financial models, improved processes, and decision analyses to support corporate strategy and execution. I have 10 years of experience in project cost control, with a majority of this experience gain at construction sites. I hold the Certified Estimating Professional designation from AACE International. I hold a BS International Economics from Texas Tech University and Graduate Certificate in Construction Management from Iowa State University.

Joan Scott


Joan Scott is an experienced math and science teacher, having taught in several different public and private schools.  She is highly qualified, holding a Texas lifetime teaching certificate for high school math and science.  Joan graduated with BA degree from Rice University (Houston, TX) in 1967.

Mr. Scott brings over 14 years of biotech research and business experience to the firm. As the Director of Bioinvaders, Brett has made his mission to save the world from the threat of invasive species:  a $1 trillion annual problem.  Mr. Scott holds a BA in Biology from Cornell and an MBA in Entreprenuership from the Rady School of Management, UCSD.
